Leading Edge has a solid mineral industry background and complementary experience in recent years:
- 15 year career in mining industry from mineral processing to overall mine management
- Experience in plant metallurgical operations as well as laboratory and pilot plant metallurgical testing
- Exposure to a variety of ores in plant environments (gold, copper-gold, copper-lead-zinc, lead-zinc), and in laboratory environments (the above plus others such as uranium, fluorspar, copper, copper-molybdenum)
- 3 years in territorial government as Director of Energy and Mines Branch, and 14 years in the electric utility industry in multi-disciplinary engineering management
- Significant involvement in water licensing and other quasi-judicial regulatory processes
- Strong background in energy efficiency and renewable energy, including hydro and wind power
- Strong skill sets including the ability to focus on detail, good organizational skills, and good written and oral communication skills
